Tougher Together: A New Chapter for Tough Enough to Wear Pink
We’re tickled over the success of our Tough Enough to Wear Pink Auction. For seventeen years, our generous community has helped raise nearly $700,000 for local breast cancer-fighting efforts. These funds have supported critical life-saving oncology equipment and programs, including a 3D mammogram, RN Navigator support, chemotherapy treatments, and Oncology facility enhancements at St. Elizabeth Community Hospital.
“The Tehama County Tough Enough to Wear Pink campaign is a testament to the power of a community,” offered Mercy Foundation North President Jake Mangas. “Thanks to TETWP, St. Elizabeth’s has built a strong oncology program equipped to meet the unique needs of cancer patients and their families. Not only did TETWP play a key role in launching the Oncology & Infusion Center, but it also continues to bring cutting-edge technology to St. Elizabeth’s year after year. We are deeply grateful for every event, bidder, attendee, and supporter who makes this impact possible.”
At last year’s event, many familiar faces “saddled up” to support this critical cause. Rob McGrew of McGrew Agencies, Globe Life Heritage Division, secured our VIP Monterey Experience, while longtime TETWP supporter Jan Sutherland of JA Sutherland/Taco Bell took home the special pink-edition dirt bike. We are deeply grateful to these business owners and all our donors for their outstanding generosity.
Building on our strong Sunday run, the Red Bluff Round-Up introduces an exciting change to the Tough Enough to Wear Pink Auction this year. We joined forces with Red Bluff Rotary to combine our Sunday event with the Rotary’s Annual Tough Enough to Wear Pink Luncheon. Historically, both occasions have raised tens of thousands of dollars during the third week of April, and this collaboration creates a unique opportunity to expand our impact. By working together, we’re enhancing fundraising efforts, streamlining the bidding experience, and strengthening our shared commitment to local breast cancer care.
The Red Bluff Round-Up is dedicated to providing exceptional prizes for Rotary’s live auction. From unforgettable trips and epic concert experiences to pink-themed treasures and the highly sought-after one-of-a-kind Tough Enough belt buckle, bidders can look forward to an incredible selection of items in exchange for their generous bids. Paired with Rotary’s already impressive auction and a wildly creative planning team, this mighty partnership is poised to set new fundraising records.
“When the opportunity arose to unite over such a meaningful cause, we immediately recognized its limitless potential,” said Red Bluff Round-Up GM JB Stacy. “This partnership allows us to build on past successes while expanding our local cancer-fighting impact.”
While the event details won’t be available before the program goes to print, we eagerly anticipate sharing the results live on Sunday. Our beloved Tough Enough to Wear Pink Performance will evolve into a heartfelt celebration of success and a moving tribute to cancer thrivers and survivors.
“The sky’s the limit with this collaboration,” shared Red Bluff Rotary President Jim Southwick. “In just three years, our auction revenue has more than doubled, and our planning committee continues to innovate. Partnering with the Round-Up opens even more doors for this growing fundraiser.”
The future of Tough Enough to Wear Pink shines brighter—and pinker—than ever. We’re excited to see what’s next as we continue this meaningful journey. We’re TOUGHER TOGETHER.
