MUTTON BUSTIN’ APPLICATION 103rd Annual Red Bluff Round-Up

2024

1. A Mutton Bustin’ Event will be held in connection with rodeo performances at the Red Bluff Round-Up on April 19th, 20th, & 21st, 2024 pre-rodeo. Competition will be held at the Tehama District Fairgrounds Main Arena. It is mandatory that participants check in 1 hour prior to riding time.

2. Participants must be at least 4 years of age and no more than 7 years of age and not weigh more than 60 pounds on the day of the event (weight may be verified at performance time).

3. The number of Participants will be limited to 36 (12 each day). The participant and one adult only will be allowed in the chute area.

4. Western attire is required (boots, long pants and long sleeve shirt). For safety sake it is mandatory that participants wear a rodeo-supplied helmet and vest during performance (no exceptions). No spurs will be allowed.

5. Application and Release Form must be signed by a parent or legal guardian and returned to Red Bluff Round-Up, 670 Antelope Blvd. suite 1, Red Bluff, CA 96080, before 5:00 p.m. on March 13, 2024. Entries will be drawn at or around 12:00 p.m. on March 22, 2024. All Participants who submit entry applications will be advised by telephone or mail as to whether or not they were selected.

6. Participants will be required to pay a $25.00 entry fee, if their name is drawn. Includes (1) free entry ticket for Participant. Payment due by April 5th, 2024. Late payment will forfeit their spot to an alternate.

7. All Participants will receive a “swag bag” filled with goodies. The first-place contestant will also receive a custom Red Bluff Round-Up Mutton Bustin’ belt buckle. Reserve champion will receive a Justin Boots certificate.

Agreement: As consideration for being allowed to participate and/ or compete in Mutton Bustin’ event of the Red Bluff Round-Up, the Undersigned:

Agrees to the following:

Acknowledgement of Risk: The Undersigned acknowledges that rodeos are dangerous activities and that the participation in a rodeo, as either a contestant, an employee or volunteer, exposes the Participant to a substantial and serious risk of appropriate damage, personal injury, or death. The Undersigned expressly acknowledges that his/her participation in the Red Bluff Round-Up will involve such a hazard. The undersigned also agrees participants will wear rodeo supplied helmets and vests in order to participate in the event. No spurs will be allowed. No exceptions.

Release of Sponsor: The Undersigned, being fully aware that participation in the Red Bluff Round-Up will expose him/her to a substantial and serious risk of property damage and /or personal injury or death, hereby releases all Sponsors from liability for any and all property damage, personal injuries or other claims arising from the Undersigned’s participation in the Red Bluff Round-Up including those better known and unknown, foreseen and unforeseen, future or contingent.

Covenant Not to Sue: The Undersigned covenants that the Undersigned shall not now or at any time in the future, directly or indirectly, commence or prosecute any action, suit or other proceedings against the Sponsors (their officers, directors, employees, agents, or affiliates) concerning, arising out of, or related to the actions, causes of action, claims and demands hereby waived, released, or discharged by the Undersigned.

Assurances: The Undersigned has full power, authority, capacity and right without limitation to execute, deliver and perform this Release.

Binding Affect: This Release shall be binding upon the Undersigned and the Undersigned’s guardian, spouse, legal representatives, heirs, successor’s, and assigns.

Photo Authorization: The Undersigned grants permission to the Red Bluff Round-Up and/or its affiliates to use all video, photo, and audio recordings from Undersigned’s participation in the Red Bluff Round-Up for any purpose, including television commercial promotions, marketing images on print or digital documents, and for billboards or outdoor or indoor displays.

Undersigned also releases the Red Bluff Round-Up from any claims that may arise from the use of your likeness, including, but not limited to, claims of defamation or damage to reputation, invasion of privacy, rights of publicity or copyright.

This Release has been carefully and fully read by the Undersigned and the Undersigned fully understands its terms and conditions and has voluntarily executed and delivered this release as of the ______ day of _________________, 2024.
